Nordic Economic Policy Review 2025 examines the contemporary issues of Nordic labour markets in five articles. Union density is still higher in the Nordic countries than anywhere else in the world and membership of employers’ associations is high, as a result, contracts negotiated between the labour market parties cover the vast majority of the workforce.

I am very pleased to have designed this year’s Nordic Economic Policy Review 2026 as a freelancer. The publication explores how policy changes impact society – from youth tax reductions and employment to the long-term effects of earlier school starts – highlighting the power of evidence-based policymaking across the Nordics. The design follows Nordic Council of Ministers design manual and publication system.
